The Gathering Place B&B

Vic & Liz Charlebois

A warm welcome awaits you at The Gathering Place. This house, built for Hamilton Cornwall, is one of the original limestone buildings on Pelee Island. It was built in 1893 by John Lowe from stone quarried on the island.

Recently renovated to modern expectations, the old-fashioned ambience still exists.

Experience a night, a weekend, or a week, in this relaxing rural setting. Tours of the island can be arranged.

We encourage you to explore the island armed with the local Tourist Guide and experience nature and this history of mankind and our planet at its best.

Fishing charters and tours of the surrounding islands are available.

The Gathering PlaceGuests have a choice of three air conditioned bedrooms:

  • One with a queen-size bed and an ensuite bath @ $150.00 per night
  • One with a queen-size bed and a shared bathroom @ $125.00 per night
  • One with a queen-size bed, a single bed, and a shared bathroom @125.00 per night

The Great Room provides a library and a fireplace to take the chill off cool evenings. A screened-in porch across the front of the house affords a view of the lake, and a comfortable place to read, visit, or simply enjoy nature. A walk down the tree canopied lane brings you to a comfortable stone patio which welcomes you to sit and watch the sun set over Lake Erie. A sandy beach provides a picturesque swimming and bathing area.

Special rates apply for longer stays. Rates include a Continental and Traditional Farmhouse Breakfast.

In appreciation of the comfort and safety of our guests we ask that you refrain from smoking. Outside areas are provided for your convenience.

Children 7 years and older are welcome.
