A Family Retreat on Pelee Island

For over a century this historic Pelee Island farmhouse has overlooked Lake Erie.

Lake breezes blow through one acre of park like grounds which include oak, maple, willow, cherry, pear, walnut, redbud, honeysuckle, and pine trees. The quiet, peaceful setting attracts migrant birds and butterflies. Bunny and pheasant families visit the yard early morning and evenings. Farmland and open fields surround the property.

This five bedroom home sleeps eleven and features two full baths, two living rooms, a large kitchen, two enclosed front porches, and a large wooden deck overlooking the back yard. The home has a washer and dryer and the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. Sitting on the fireplace's large field stone hearth will warm you from wet weather. There is a play scape for children and a stone 'moon'fire pit for communing star gazers.

The Anchor & Wheel Restaurant and Connerlee's Bakery are just a five minute walk down the road. The Anchor & Wheel is one of the best dining experiences on the Island. In addition to wonderful bakery treats, Connerlee's talented owners also serve vegetable salads, soups, sandwiches and homemade pizza.
